Fire NOC in Bihar

Fire No Objection Certificate (Fire NOC) issued by the Bihar State Fire Service is an official document with statutory legal force. It certifies that a building meets statutory fire safety standards, and confirms that the building is fully equipped with three categories of safety measures: fire prevention, fire extinguishing, and emergency evacuation. All buildings falling under specific categories must obtain this certificate before they can start operations or be officially occupied.

Who Needs Compulsory Registration?

This regulation clearly states at its outset that the Fire NOC is a universal mandatory fire compliance certificate. A total of 11 types of premises are required to obtain this certificate, covering all people-dense or high fire risk scenarios, including high-rise residential buildings, commercial and office properties, medical and educational institutions, as well as industrial, mining and warehousing sites.

Documents Required

Applying online in Bihar requires preparing authentic documentation in the correct format. Mismatched details, incorrect sizes, or obsolete blueprints will trigger immediate objections.

The publicly released list of fire qualification application materials announced by the Fire Services Department of Bihar, India, includes a total of 12 categories of documents, sorted in the order of official approval documents, ownership and identity documents, safety qualification documents, and supplementary materials.

The elevator safety certificate and the local authority no-objection certificate only need to be submitted under specific scenarios, and the competent authority may require the submission of additional materials.
